The Abyssal Fleet poses a significant threat to humanity, with the Kanmusu being mankind's last hope. Despite their ongoing struggles, the Kanmusu are at risk of sinking into oblivion. During a successful night raid, the Eighth Fleet's Kanmusu discovers Kisaragi floating unconsciously on the sea surface. However, Kisaragi's strange behavior and the anomalous situation leave the Kanmusu wary of her. Meanwhile, other ships hear mysterious voices and encounter crimson waters that harm their equipment. Fubuki, the lead ship of Fubuki-class destroyers, remains unaffected. As Fubuki and other Kanmusu confront these unusual occurrences, they begin to understand the harsh reality of their existence and the looming danger of the Abyssal Fleet. Despite this, they must continue fighting forward to protect the sea and those they hold dear.

KanColle Movie was released on Blu-ray and DVD in Japan on August 30, 2017.
