The journey of Satoshi and his companions continues through the region of Kalos. After obtaining his seventh gym badge, the group is on their way to the next town when Eureka discovers a mysterious Pokemon resting in her pochette. Named Puni-chan, it's one that even Satoshi and Serena's new Pokemon Zukan can't identify. However, soon it becomes clear that Puni-chan is being targeted by a group of people wearing bright red suits known as Team Flare, who want to capture the new Pokemon for their own purposes. But when Satoshi and his friends realize that Team Flare has no intention of treating Puni-chan with any respect, they decide to stand up against them and fight back. With Gojikas predictions looming above them, Satoshi aims to obtain his final gym badge while Serena competes for her last Princess Key in order to participate in the TriPokalon Master Class. However, as Team Flare begins searching for the mysterious Z, the stories of Pokemon XY and Pokemon XY: Mega Evolution intersect with Satoshi and his friends, along with Team Rocket, getting caught up in a scheme that could put all of Kalos at risk.
