Firstly, there was Meicoomons rampage and then a reboot occurred. Taichi and his friends abandoned Meiko in her distress while they headed towards the Digital World. Upon reuniting with their Digimon partners who had lost all memory up to this point, the DigiDestined made an effort to rebuild those bonds. However, Biyomon remained wary even after digivolving to her Rookie stage due to Sora's kindness in putting others before herself. This left Sora feeling stunned and hurt, causing Taichi and Yamato to be at a loss for words. As the group discussed their next move in the Digital World, Meicoomon suddenly appeared and disappeared. Despite having memories, she wandered around with tears in her eyes, searching for Meiko. This strengthened the kids' resolve to travel through the Digital World in order to save Meicoomon. However, before they could act, the man who had been with the Dark Masters appeared. In the real world, Nishijima learned that Himekawa had gone missing. After investigating, he discovered a hidden agenda behind her behavior, which was linked to an event in the past that determined their destinies. As a result, the adventure continued.
