The episode comprises three narratives. in the first story, "toki no asase" (shoals of time), we follow nero, vanno, and frate as they persuade the latter to skip mass with them in order to attend a circus performance. in the second narrative, titled "subete no kinou" (yesterday before everything), we see ganzo encountering vincente at a bar and requesting his assistance. lastly, in "ashita, mata ashita" (tomorrow, and then tomorrow), which takes place after nero and avilio defeat mad mack and return to lawless, nero experiences fever dreams and is tended to by avilio until he recovers.
