    Rin Matsuoka's childhood friend, Sousuke Yamazaki, has recently moved to Samezuka Academy. When they meet again, they talk about their old days and make a promise to swim together. With the addition of Captain Mikoshiba's younger brother Momotarou Mikoshiba, Aiichirou Nitori, and Rin herself, the Samezuka relay team is formed. As they continue with tournaments, races, and training, Sousuke begins to feel troubled by something that happened in his past which affects his swimming performance. Rin notices this change and tries to find out what's causing it.
