After finishing high school, determined swimmers are excited about their future and have a dream to achieve. They attend Hidaka University in Tokyo where they meet Shiina Asahi, an old teammate from middle school days. This unexpected encounter brings back memories of his negative views on swimming that led him to quit the team. Haruka later connects with other classmates except for Ikuya Kirishima who still holds a grudge against him due to quitting the team and disbanding it. Aware of this, Haruka resolves to improve his friendship with Ikuya. However, he faces challenges in making amends with an old friend while also encountering higher calibre swimmers at university who require hard work to establish himself if he wants to compete on an international level.
