Misaki is an 18-year-old student who lives with his older brother takahiro. he lost both parents in a car accident when he was just eight years old and has been raised by his brother ever since. despite this, misaki feels responsible for the death of his parents as well as for the fact that takahiro had to give up on his studies and start working to support him. in order to attend the college he desires, takahiro enlists the help of their mutual friend usami akihiko, who becomes misaki's tutor. however, due to a sudden company transfer, takahiro must relocate to another town, leaving misaki in the care of usami. although misaki has never dated or fallen in love before, he realizes that he has feelings for someone when it is too late to act on them, and the fact that this person is a man makes him deny his emotions entirely.
