Masaki takahashi, a high school student preparing for university entrance exams, seeks assistance from his older brother's friend, akihiko usami, a famous author known for writing naughty genre books. however, masaki soon discovers that usamis literature is of an explicit nature and wonders if there may be something similar awakening within him. meanwhile, junjou romantica follows the stories of two other couples loosely connected to masaki and usami's "romantica." egoist portrays a passionate but complicated relationship between university professor hiroki kamijou and paediatrician nowaki kusama, while terrorist explores how an obsessive love can lead to dangerous consequences when eighteen-year-old shinobu takatsuki finally discovers the literature professor you miyagi. these three couples navigate their passions and struggles as they pursue their goals in life while also falling into temptation and anguish with their partners.
