During the spring semester, Tomoyo enrolled at Tomoyas school as a second-year student. Despite being older than him, Tomoyo did not show respect towards Tomoya as a senior student. She has a younger brother named Takafumi. There were rumors about her being violent and having a history of misconduct, which were later confirmed when she physically attacked several delinquents from her previous school during school hours. Youhei was shocked by what he saw and challenged Tomoyo. After meeting with her multiple times, Tomoya revealed that she wanted to become the student council president, and eventually shared her reasons for wanting this role.
In the movie, Tomoyo was already a student council president when Tomoya just met Nagisa, and her relationship with Youhei and Kyou is better compared
