Nojiko is an older sister of Nami who was adopted into the Bellemere family. Although they are not biologically related, they were raised together. In the Arlong arc, she plays a significant role by revealing Namis past to the Straw Hats and helping rescue Luffy after he is thrown into the ocean with his feet stuck in cement by Arlong. Nojiko has tattoos on her right arm that she got to help Nami feel less ashamed about her tattoo of Arlongs pirate logo. She was shot in the back by a Naval officer who tried to stop Nami from attacking Captain Nezumi, but survived. In the manga, she gave her bracelet to Nami and later appeared again, happy that Nami looked content in her wanted poster.
