Inuyashas mother, 十六夜

Inuyasha's mother was named Izayoi in the manga. Although little is known about her due to her death before the series began and Inuyasha's reluctance to speak of her, it is understood that she met and fell in love with Inu no Taishou, who reciprocated her feelings. Despite their relationship, it is unclear if they were officially married or mated. Izayoi was left alone to raise Inuyasha after Inu no Taishou's death. She felt sad about the discrimination that Inuyasha would face as a hanyou, both from humans and demons. Unfortunately, Izayoi passed away when Inuyasha was still young. Her name is not mentioned in the manga, but it was given to her in the third movie of the series. Sesshomaru blames Izayoi for his father's death, claiming that she made him weak, which led to his demise.
