Takechiyo is a young lord from the Mamidaira clan, a group of tanuki who are high-ranking in their society. Hachiemon serves him as his companion. Unfortunately, due to family conflict, Takechiyo had to flee his home and was left with Jyūbei by Miroku at Hachiemons request. Currently, he works for Jyūbei at his Shikabaneya, a business that deals in the trade of demon corpses and secures contracts for bounty hunting.
