Kanako Kurusu
Kanakana, 来栖 加奈子
Kanako is Kirinos classmate and friend who possesses a childish temperament and has a loli body as described by Kyousuke. She seeks praise from others and melts when praised but can become fiery when she doesn't receive it. Singing and dancing are her passions, and her dream is to become an idol. Kanako was tricked into cosplaying as Meruru for a contest, winning Kirino a prize. She has been contracted to appear as Meruru at special events. While she dislikes otakus, she enjoys having fans, even if they are "disgusting".
Kanako confesses to Kyousuke later on, after Kyousuke and Kirino started going out. Kyousuke refuses, saying that he already had a girlfriend. Kanako then told him that she would become an incredible idol and that she would make him regret what he did that day.
