Dr. Ayanokouji constructed another Steel Angel known as Saki, which was activated by Dr. Amagi with the help of Dr. Brandows. The objective given to Saki was to destroy Kurumi and seize her Mark II Heart. To achieve this goal, the largest of the seized Angel Hearts were used to give Saki as much power as possible. In the ensuing battle between Saki and Kurumi, the latter was easily defeated due to Nakahitos still-standing order not to fight. However, Saki's improper activation caused her to collapse. Following this incident, Kurumi kissed Saki, which reenergized her Angel Heart and permanently activated her. The master-servant relationship between them was reinstated, with Saki pledging her loyalty and love to Kurumi. Despite this vow, the two largely ignored each other but called themselves "sisters." Later, Saki was kidnapped by Karinka, who brutally attacked and defeated her. It took Saki several weeks and about 5 episodes after Kurumi saved her to recover. Saki is known for being very quiet, the antithesis of Kurumi, and quite lady-like in comparison. She is also considered one of the kindest and sweetest characters in the show. Although she entertains wild fantasies about herself and Kurumi, she never speaks about them or properly expresses her love. Saki wears a white maids outfit with black trim and sleeps in a yukata similar to Kurumis. She enjoys taking baths, mainly because it allows her to be naked with Kurumi.
