Otoi-sensei created the initial prototype of Signal, which had silver hair and a grey outfit. He was known as a kind and gentle robot until Masanobu made some upgrades, transforming him into a highly skilled combat robot with black long hair, dark clothes, and two massive blades attached to his arms. Additionally, he conducts electricity through his hair and charges it through his eyes like a laser. However, these changes have resulted in Signal becoming nearsighted and experiencing robotic narcolepsy if he uses the laser or becomes too worn down. Despite this, Signal constantly fights and teases with Chibi Signal while Pulse has a soft spot for him. Kris was also friends with Signal.
