She accidentally witnesses Kyousuke performing a remarkable physical feat using "The Power," which causes her to develop strong feelings for him. Hikaru frequently refers to Kyousuke as "darling" and often reverts to infantile language, indicating her immaturity and protective nature. Despite having unrequited love for Kyousuke, she has been Madoka's best friend since they were both young, having formed a close bond with Yusaku Hino. Her name means "brightness" or "sparkling," reflecting her lively personality. Hikaru is two years younger than Ayukawa and Kyousuke, and shares the same birthday as Kyousuke.
