True Cross Academy's Chairman, Mephisto Pheles, is also known as an Exorcist. Following Fujiwara's death, he was instructed to eliminate Rin but instead agreed to his proposal for becoming an Exorcist and enrolled him at the academy. It has been heavily suggested that he is Satan's son, along with his brother, Amaimon. He possesses a distinctive ability of transforming into a small dog when counting in German up to three. While his power level hasn't been demonstrated, he holds an Honorary Knight rank, which is two below Paladin. Mephisto Pheles has allowed several higher-class demons onto the campus. His name is a play on "Mephistopheles," another devilish moniker similar to his father, Satan.
