One of Uesugi Yashashu's forces was previously Kenshin's subject/minister. Currently, he is a young man with refined looks and long hair who is known to be vivacious and easy-going. He possesses great power in controlling minds and is second only to Takaya in this regard. Despite being independent in his actions and thinking, he once defected from the group due to doubts about their fights. Now, he battles with them for personal reasons and harbors complex emotions towards Takaya and Naoe.
