The protagonist of the meiji tokyo renka series is a young woman named mei ayazuki who was transported to the meiji era by a magician called charlie, resulting in her losing her memories. she possesses the ability to see spirits and ghosts, known as being a 'tamayori'. despite this, she remains brave and compassionate with a tendency to be clumsy at times. in the present day, mei's family runs an antique shop where she spends most of her time admiring the various items that belonged to her friends during the meiji era.
