The signature weapon of Cobra is his Psycho-gun, a cybernetic arm-laser that's linked to his brain and can target enemies without needing a direct line of sight. This makes it easy for him to defeat most foes, but some are not vulnerable to the laser itself. Additionally, prolonged use of the gun drains Cobra's mental energies. As backup, he carries an old-fashioned Magnum revolver. The main character was created by Buichi Terasawa and is based on Jean-Paul Belmondo, who inspired the character's facial features and sense of humour.
