Shichika is currently the leader of the Kyotou-ryuu style, having been trained intensely by his father who was previously in charge. Despite this rigorous training, Shichika has become incredibly skilled and can defeat opponents without even utilizing the Kyotou-ryuu style. Over time, he has developed new techniques for the style. Shichika is deeply committed to his training and takes great care of his older sister Nanami, who suffers from poor health. He frequently does chores for her out of concern. Shichika is also smitten with Togame, whom he trusts due to this affection. However, when it comes to expressing romantic interest towards women, Shichika struggles. For instance, even though he's in love with Togame, he doesn't show any signs of arousal around her when she's naked and fails to realize that he should praise her when she wears new clothing. Despite this, Togame feels comfortable opening up to him because of his sincerity. Shichika may describe himself as "bad at thinking," but he is not naive. He has a keen awareness of the world around him and keeps abreast of current events.
