Alibaba  

Alibaba is a character in the anime series "Sword Art Online." He strongly believes that rank does not necessarily indicate strength and thinks his own abilities are on par with those of Knights. The theme of the show revolves around Arabian motifs. Alibaba first appears during the third round of the War Games, where he is the first to go up against Alan when Alan wants to start. He boasts about how weak the other chess pieces are and claims victory will make him a Knight. In the battle that ensues, Alibaba summons his Guardian but loses to Alan. Alan then carries Alibaba into a volcano and throws him in, resulting in his death in the manga but not in the anime. In the anime, Phantom uses one of his Dimension ARMs to save Alibaba from certain doom. Afterward, Alibaba captures the Princess of Reginliefs and is defeated again by Ginta Toramizu, Jack, and Loco. However, he survives once more and reappears during the end credits of the final episodes, cheering up Fuugi while he cries over the Princess of Reginlief's marriage to Carl.
