Marcel

Marcel, the owner of Banana Slakoth Garden, found himself in a predicament when he was visited by Ash and his friends. The garden had been closed due to Snorlax eating all the bananas in the park. To make matters worse, any Pokémon that tried to battle with Snorlax would fall asleep after using Yawn. Marcel was about to give up when Brock suggested capturing a Slakoth from the Garden and evolving it into Vigoroth. This was because of Vigoroths Vital Spirit ability which prevented them from falling asleep. Following his advice, Marcel captured a Slakoth and after battling Ash's Pikachu, Torkoal, and Grovyle, it evolved successfully. Using the Wild Monkey Pokémon, Marcel was able to capture Snorlax. After opening the park, Marcel revealed that he had an idea thanks to Snorlax. He designed a room for visitors who were feeling tired to rest and his newly captured Snorlax helped them fall asleep using Yawn. Ash and his friends bid farewell to Marcel and continued on their journey to Lilycove City.
