Maruo is one of the students in Marukos class and holds the position of male class president. He takes his studies seriously and works diligently every day. Despite this, he has thick glasses that make him stand out. His face often features black lines when he's happy or content. Maruo is paranoid about being replaced as male class president by other students who may be more popular or successful. To discourage them from running against him, he targets those who excel and are well-known among their peers.
