A musician who resides near Nodame and Chiaki's apartment complex in Paris is Chinese and tends to get emotional when homesickness comes up. Although he attends a different music school than Nodame and Chiaki, his family's expectations drive him to succeed. After performing poorly at a piano competition alongside Tanya, he considers returning home to become a piano teacher. He appreciates good food, especially if it is prepared by Chiaki or paid for by her.
