Amanojaku was once a potent being that was imprisoned by Satsukis mother in a tree in the mountains. He was later released due to urbanization but didn't have his freedom for long as he was sealed again, this time in Kaya, Satsuki's pet cat. At first, Amanojaku was hostile towards the kids and enjoyed causing them trouble. However, over time, he developed a soft spot for them, particularly for Satsuki and Keiichirou.
