Kanon Maldini is an advisor to Schneizel el Britannia and serves in both political and military matters. During Tianzis wedding celebration, he makes a joke about being Schneizels assistant in public and private affairs, but quickly dismisses it. Later on, Kanon accompanies Suzaku to the Kururugi Temple to investigate Zero. There, he collects evidence that confirms the identity of the masked terrorist and also proves the existence of Geass. This information is crucial in convincing the leaders of the Black Knights to betray Zero. When Schneizel decides to stage a coup d'état, Kanon seems hesitant but acknowledges that his leader has made the decision.
