The protagonist in the conflict between France and England during the 100 Years War was Joan of Arc. Following being burnt at the stake, she became obsessed with destruction and wished for nothing more than to witness the world catch fire. As an Offscouring, her crosses were flipped upright, granting her control over flames. Despite this, she appears self-conscious about her perceived lack of femininity, which might be a symptom of her insanity.
