Cytomander  

The Swift, シトマンドラ,

Cytomander the Swift was one of the Spiral Kings Four Divine Generals who commanded Teppelins aerial forces and owned the flying battleship Dai-Gunten. Despite General Adiane's animosity towards General Thymilph, it appears that Cytomander had a friendly relationship with General Guame, similar to how cytosine and guanine bond together in DNA. In two separate attacks against the Great Gurren Brigade, Cytomander lost his life when the Dai-Gunten exploded during the second attack. His name is derived from both the DNA chemical cytosine and the elemental Salamander. Similarly, his Gunmen, Shuzack, was based on the mythical Vermilion Bird, Suzaku.
