Lydia is a young girl from an anime series released in 2003. She's fragile and insecure, and she falls ill with the "Fossil Disease" that afflicts her village. Her fiancé, Lujon, heals her temporarily using a Red Stone on his ring. However, Lujon later falls in love with someone else named Lust and leaves Lydia at their wedding altar. Lydia tries to find him again after another outbreak of the disease, but she doesn't know that he has left the village searching for both Lust and another stone. She meets up with the Elric brothers and Winry Rockbell while they are traveling back to her village. Lydia tells them about her story as they travel together. When they arrive at her village, they discover that everyone there has succumbed to the disease. Lydia runs into Lujon's body on the ground, which is now fossilized and dead due to being killed by Lust before becoming fossilized himself. The Elrics and Winry find Lydia's body in Lujon's arms, also fossilized.
