City Hunter's partner is Kaori, who handles administrative tasks such as acquiring clients and managing other aspects of the business. She also cooks for Ryo Saeba and defends his female clients from any less honorable intentions he may have. Despite not having combat skills on par with her partner, she can stop Ryo in his tracks with one of her weapons from Hammerspace. Kaori primarily uses a hammer (weighing at least 100 tons), but also employs other objects as needed. She has learned how to set traps and plant explosives from Umibozu. Her shooting skills are somewhat affected by Ryo's tampering with her gun, which is meant to ensure that she would always miss and not get bloodied like Ryo has had to do.
