Leonard Apollo was previously a coach for NASA's Alien team. He had played professionally in NFL and was known for his commitment to training. After being replaced by Morgan, an athlete with natural talent, he became racist towards African-American and Japanese individuals. In response, he decided to create a team consisting solely of white players. However, after all members of the Aliens performed a dogeza, or deep bow, requesting Panther's inclusion on the team, Apollo reconsidered his decision and allowed him to play.
