Ginshu is one of four sacred figures known as holy ones at the sakigami shrine. despite being genderless, ginshu is commonly referred to as a princess due to his role as high priestess. however, it's important to note that ginshu isn't actually the real high priestess; rather, he serves as a decoy to protect her from harm.
ginshu possesses "poison blood," which means demons cannot consume him without dying. this trait was originally thought to be a result of byakuroku's curse, but it has since been revealed that ginshu's spirit was placed within byakurokus body by bonten in an attempt to save both their lives after a battle that would have resulted in their deaths.
before being cursed with his ageless and genderless form, ginshu was male. due to the traditions of the shrine, he is dressed and referred to as though he were female.
