Yuichi Tachibana manages the gas station where Takumi worked. He was once an old friend of Buntas and a racer himself in his youth. As a mentor-like figure to the "Akina Speed Stars", he acts as a fatherly role model for them. During some of Takumis races, including those against Nakazato's R32 and Ryosukes FC3S, Yuichi can be seen driving a black Toyota Chaser.
