Koga has a lively character and high self-esteem, believing himself to be the best in all situations. He identifies as a wolf and can be quite aggressive towards others, regardless of their status or background. His keen sense of smell makes him dislike strong odors. Koga owns a corgi named Leon who is friendly with Subaru Akehoshis dog, Daikichi. Although he has some animosity towards Rei Sakuma, calling him a "vampire bastard," it turns out that Rei possesses the ability to manipulate Koga into doing his bidding.
