Suginami ikaruga is a first-year student at the academy who excels in maintaining and creating weapons, tinkering with machines, and hacking. she is friends with takeru from middle school days and was previously recruited to join a special division called regin before entering high school. however, she declined, preferring to experience "youthful school life" while attending the academy. as a result, upon enrollment, she was assigned to the 35th test platoon.
