In Gakkou no Kaidan anime series, Aya Eto is a recurring character who is a classmate and close friend of Satsuki. She makes her first appearance in Episode 15 and participates in Shinobu's dark ritual. Tragically, she becomes the first victim. On the night before her death, she calls Shinobu to say that she wants to give up on the ritual. The next day, Aya is absent from school, and no one recognizes her name during attendance. Satsuki asks about her but the teacher doesn't know anyone called Aya Eto. However, when they check, they find out that not only was Aya missing but so was her desk. After Shinobu is defeated, Aya returns along with the other girls who were involved in the ritual. She reappears in Episode 18 to talk about the lack of music during lunch and Leo mentions there's no DJ at lunchtime. During physical education class, she appears again alongside Satsuki, possibly discussing something with her. In Episode 20, Aya is under Ohma's control along with other students, trying to kill Satsuki. After Ohma is defeated, she returns to normal.
