Panther is a kind-hearted individual with exceptional running abilities. However, due to Apollos' prejudice, he has been reduced to being a ballboy. Despite this setback, Panther continues to train every day by running across rooftops in pursuit of his dream to become a professional NFL player and provide financial stability for his grandmother, who no longer needs to work. Additionally, Panther is one of the few individuals capable of consuming his grandmother's horrendous oatmeal recipe. Initially, Panther was not interested in traveling to Japan because he wanted to compete against Shin. However, after watching Hiruma's impressive running abilities on Eyeshield 21's website, Panther became determined to challenge him. Eventually, he and Sena formed a close friendship and vowed to play on equal terms the next time they encountered each other on the field (since Sena was near his physical limit by the time Panther joined). It is worth noting that Panther's character and design were inspired by Eusébio, also known as "The Black Panther," a renowned soccer player.
