Yumi Omura is a 17-year-old girl who works with Hideki at My Pleasure, a Japanese pub owned by her father. Initially, it seems like she has romantic feelings for him, but later on, it's revealed that she was attracted to him because he also worked there and she considered him as an older brother figure. Throughout the series, Yumi struggles with self-doubt and feels inferior to persocoms, becoming upset whenever they are mentioned in relation to humans.
