Detective Saeko is a pretty woman who works for the Tokyo police department. She often employs the City Hunter team to assist her in her investigations. Despite frequently promising to pay back Ryo with "mokkori" (sex), she always manages to avoid fulfilling this promise. Although she has been deceptive, Saeko and Ryo have a significant history together. They were involved in a love triangle with Ryo and Hideyuki Makimura. As the daughter of the police chief, Saeko enjoys some flexibility in her job performance. However, off work hours, her father pressures her to marry. In Angel Heart, Saeko was the chief of police who had previously dated Hideyuki Makimura and was implied to be waiting for his proposal. Later on, Saekos romantic interest shifted as she dreamed of having a normal family with Ryo.
