Steak is considered as Niche's "favorite" food supply and companion. He followed her from the Love Someone Down freak show after she destroyed it. Steak is typically seen perched on Niche's head while she battles Gaichuu, rarely moving from his spot even during intense battles. Steak possesses the ability to detect weak points in Gaichuu, enabling Lag to aim his Shin Ganjuu at these areas and defeat the armored insect. Niche has stated that Steak would taste delicious (hence his name). It seems that Steak has resigned himself to his fate as a future meal and willingly submits to Niche's attempts to cook him. There is a possibility that Steak may be the last of the Kapel Meister, a species thought to have co-existed peacefully with Spirit Insects but believed to be extinct.
