Kiyokawa is a left-side defender for ETU who has seen regular playing time under Tatsumi. Although he possesses great speed, he tends to fall for feints easily. In comparison to the defensive pair of Yusaku Sugie and Kazuki Kuroda, Kiyokawa's skills are not as advanced. Ryo Akasaki has been particularly critical of their abilities, even accusing them of playing solely for fun rather than with a competitive edge. Despite his youth, Kiyokawa is more skilled than Osamu Ishihama but still lacks the experience and refinement of ETU's best defender, Sugie, and Kuroda. It's important to remember that both goalkeepers and defenders require time to develop their skills fully, so while Kiyokawa's youth provides him with speed, his inexperience hinders his ability to defend effectively.
