Kaname is a dominant and manipulative girl who serves on Spica's student council. She often takes charge when others don't agree with her, disregarding their objections. Kaname believes she is irresistible and unchallenged in her actions. Her demeanor and appearance are more masculine than feminine, similar to Amane. Later, it becomes clear that Kaname is envious of Amane's successes since arriving at Spica. There is also a suggestion that she once had feelings for Amane or that her self-comparison with Amane has become a significant aspect of her life. Momomi Kiyashiki, who shares similar traits to Kaname, is her closest ally and romantic partner. Together, they are the story's most prominent antagonists. Despite being the driving force behind their plans, Kaname values personal honor and seeks victory through achievement rather than surrender.
