Aoi nagisa enrolls at st. miators girls academy on astraea hill, one of the three catholic schools associated with the area. there she finds a community of students organized in a complex social structure, with two etoiles representing each school. to fit in, nagisa attends classes, participates in clubs and makes new friends. meanwhile, shizuma hanazono, the sole etoile from astraea hill, becomes intrigued by the new transfer student. as they develop a relationship, shizuma eventually decides to confront her past difficulties.
