A man from Munich who knew Johan as a child and shared information about him with Dr. Tenma. The man stated that Johan looked up to him because of the life-saving incident, making him more important than his parents. The man revealed that Franz stayed in their home from March 1987 to April 1988. He described Franz as intelligent and polite, who quickly learned English and French under his guidance. The man was fascinated by the old man's war stories, particularly the one about escaping death on a U-boat attacked by an Allied Destroyer. He found it intriguing how people behaved near death and the fear that accompanied it. The man mentioned that Franz would not reveal his emotions to anyone except his sister. When Dr. Tenma asked if he was looking for Johan's twin sister, the man said Franz planned to pick her up when she turned twenty in Heidelberg.
