Hayato from Getter Robo is depicted as an intelligent but psychopathic delinquent who leads a student revolutionary group. He gets captured by the Saotome Research Institute after fighting with Ryoma and becomes part of the Getter Robo storyline, initially serving as the pilot for Getter-2. Hayato has appeared in every Getter Robo series and has played various roles, including that of an adult colonel and a scientist who is aging. In contrast to his portrayal in the 1970s TV series, where he was still rebellious but less cold and cruel, Hayato's character underwent significant changes over time.
