The research chief at the diclonius containment facility is a man in his mid-30s who serves as both Nana and Mariko's surrogate father. He has also been tasked with ending all diclonius births, but he struggles to fulfill this duty when it comes to killing his own daughter. His wife, Hiromi Kurama, tragically passed away shortly after giving birth to their daughter, Mariko.
