Enforcers

Three African (Black) pilots arrived at Area 88, it was believed they came due to low pay from Central African conflicts. These mysterious pilots kept a distance and showed suspicion towards everyone else at the base. Shin, after facing a significant setback, planned to desert in the early morning but encountered the three Black pilots who were waiting for him. Mick revealed that he had heard tales of three Black pilots in Africa who hunted down deserters. The other Area 88 pilots defended Shin, stating that the Escape Killers were harassing an innocent person taking an early morning stroll. Saki and her fellow pilots convinced the Escape Killers to depart. In the English translation of the manga, these characters were called Enforcers, and they also appeared in the OVA trilogy.
