Bandai Visual Co., Ltd. was a Japanese entertainment company that specialized in producing and distributing anime and films internationally, particularly in North America. They were owned by Bandai Namco Holdings and were known for their Emotion label, which released many popular anime properties in North America. After the restructuring of Bandai Namco Holdings in 2006, Bandai Visual became part of its Visual and Music Content Strategic Business Unit. They also had subsidiaries such as Emotion Music Company, Ltd. and Lantis music publishing labels. Until 2012, they were involved in producing and distributing several anime titles, including those produced by Sunrise Studios, which is also owned by Bandai Namco Holdings. In September 2017, they acquired Actas Studios. In February 2018, it was announced that they would be merged with Lantis into a new branch of BNH called Bandai Namco Arts. This merger took effect on April 1, 2018, and now Bandai Visual is only a label of the new company.
