DR Movie  

DR Movie Co., Ltd. is a South Korean animation studio located in Seoul since 1990. They frequently collaborate with Japanese companies on anime titles. Since 1991, they have been partnered exclusively with Madhouse, with Madhouse becoming a partial owner/investor in 2001. In 2006, Index Holdings invested 600 million yen in Madhouse, which led to DR Movie being responsible for the animation production of several Madhouse anime titles, including Tenjho Tenge and Claymore. They have also been exploring partnerships with Chinese animation companies for future productions, having entered into a joint venture studio in Qingdao, China as of March 2007. Apart from Madhouse, they have also worked extensively with Nickelodeon, Sunrise, Warner Bros Animation, Gonzo, and Studio Ghibli. Notably, they are the only Korean contract studio with which Studio Ghibli has collaborated. They also maintain a production facility in Busan known as Busan DR.
